David Y. Bailey, CPA, CVA

David Bailey was a founding partner of Bailey, Schaefer & Errato in 1992. Prior to that, David was a partner in the CPA firm of Bailey Moore Glazer Schaefer & Proto, a firm originally founded by his grandfather in 1916. David has deep experience in working with family owned and closely held businesses. He is a Treasurer for the Branford Education Foundation, and serves on the Quinnipiac University Business Advisory Board. He is a member of the Legal & Tax Division of the New Haven Jewish Federation and the United States Equestrian Federation. David, in the past, served as a Director for the University of New Haven Center for Family Business. He has been active in various other charitable and business organizations. He holds a BS in Accounting from Quinnipiac College. His work style and philosophy is to serve as a complete business partner to his clients.

Michael E. Bailey, CPA, CGMA, MST

Michael Bailey became a partner in Bailey, Schaefer & Errato in 2004, after serving as a senior accountant in the firm. Michael entered the family firm immediately after graduating from Tulane University with a BS in Accounting. He achieved a MS in Taxation from the University of New Haven while working. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the CT Society of CPAs.

Andrew J. Errato, CPA, ABV, CFF, CVA, CGMA, MST

Andrew J. Errato was a founding partner of Bailey, Schaefer & Errato in 1992. Prior to that, Andy was a partner in the CPA firm of Bailey Moore Glazer Schaefer & Proto. Throughout his CPA career, Andy had an integral role in firm management and staff development, in addition to client responsibility. He started his career with Arthur Young & Company, rising to Senior / Manager on the audit staff. Andy is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the American Institute of CPAs, and the CT Society of CPAs. He currently serves as President of The CT Chapter of NACVA. He is presently or has been a board member of the University of New Haven Center for Family Business, First Tee of Connecticut, Madison Country Club (President), Madison Jaycees (President), and the Branford Chamber of Commerce (President). He is also an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at the University of New Haven. Andy holds a BS in Accounting from Quinnipiac University and a MS in Taxation from the University of New Haven, as well as the credentials of Accredited in Business Valuations (ABV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Certified Valuation Analysts(CVA), and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA).

Andrew Errato to Receive Awards from Quinnipiac University and NACVA

Dominic Scarano, Jr., CPA, CGMA

Dominic Scarano, Jr. became a partner in Bailey, Schaefer & Errato in 1998, after serving as a manager in the firm. Prior to that, Dominic was a manager at Bailey Moore Glazer Schaefer & Proto. He is a member of the Boards of the Better Business Bureau (Treasurer) and the Quinnipiac Chamber of Commerce (Treasurer). Dominic also serves on St. Therese Parish’s Finance Council. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the CT Society of CPAs. Dominic holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Connecticut.

Christine Gromala, CPA

Christine Gromala became a partner in Bailey Scarano, LLC in 2015 after serving as the Tax Director in the firm. Prior to joining our firm in 1996, Christine was Senior Tax Manager at KPMG Peat Marwick in New York. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the CT Society of CPAs, and holds a BS in Accounting from Queens College. Christine resides in Killingworth.

Steve Moalli, CPA

Steve Moalli became Partner at Bailey Scarano in 2016 and is leader of our Credit Union Services Division. Since joining our firm in 2007, he has held the position of Manager and then Director of Auditing & Accounting. Previously, Steve worked extensively with manufacturing, start-ups, credit unions, non-profits, and a number of other industries. Steve received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and is completing his Masters of Taxation at the University of New Haven. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the CT Society of CPAs.
